 Bildungsurlaub means educational leave and German employees are entitled to 5days paid leave every year to study at a recognized institute.

The Holiday Leave is paid company leave granted to German nationals to further their education in Bildungsurlaub accepted courses. Link School of English has qualified under the Bildungsurlaub scheme.

Courses available 

Lessons per week:

20, 30 or 40 (1 academic lesson is 45 minutes long)

*Standard lesson times:

20 lessons per week: 9.00am-10.30am, 11.00am-12.30pm
30 lessons per week: 9.00am-10.30am,11.00am-12.30pm,1.00pm-2.30pm
40 lessons per week:9.00am-10.30am,11.00am-12.30pm,1.00pm-2.30pm,3.00pm -4.00pm

Class size maximum:

12 students

Start days:

Any day from Monday to Friday

Levels:

Beginner, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, Advanced, Proficiency

*Lessons may be held in the morning or in the afternoon, subject to availability.

With a focus on the 4 skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening, the General English Course allows students to improve their English in a supportive and focussed environment.  Classroom activities used at Link are designed for small groups, pairs, individually and as a whole class. A range of different practice activities and discussions are used.

Lessons for adults focus on pronunciation, range and accuracy of vocabulary, effective use of grammar  and natural self-expression in English.  This course is all about developing the ability to communicate more effectively in English in written and oral contexts.

Students are provided with:

  • A course book or tailor made course material
  • An attendance certificate on the final day of the course
  • A student card - entitling students to discounts in various shops, restaurants and places of historical interest around Malta
  • A Link file and pencil
  • A map of Malta
  • Free Wi-Fi and internet use in the school

Public Holidays
In the event that a public holiday falls duri9ng your course; lessons will be made up during the remainder of the week.

Two-week LINK ACTIVITY Programme

  • Half day tour of Historical City of Valletta with Cathedral Visit
  • Half day tour of the Ancient Capital of Mdina, including The Mdina Experience Show
  • Tour of the Historic Three Cities area by night
  • Day trip to the island of Gozo
  • Half day trip to the historic Marsaxlokk fish market
  • Cruise of the Grand Harbour
  • Half day visit to Hagar Qim and Mnajdra Temples, Blue Grotto

  2. All applications would then need to be made by completing an Erasmus+ eForm and sent to the National Agency of the Member State in which the applicant organisation is established. Applicants must submit their grant application before the close date, which will be provided by the National Agency of the Member State in which you are applying.
